Francina Schaefer (1899 – 1984) was theosophist, vegetarian, math teacher and my grandmother. She was a woman who had her principles in her way of life and spirit. Quiet in the background but did what she believed in. To me an inspirational woman.
According to the philosophy of Henri Bergson, which is about the concept of knowing an object from within or from the outside through various perspectives, I made two medals with the void in or around the object.
One side of the medal is when she was young, the other side is how I knew her.
